Hey all,
Here I am listening to the newest SavageLove podcast, and I realize that I have not posted in so long. ("Put the Porn down, and back away" - best quote from SavageLove). So here is a brief look into the life of Pugh for the past month.
1. Left Oxford - saddest day ever. I have never been quite so unhappy to move-on with my life. I just wanted to stay in Oxford and live there forevers. I really miss it. Plane ride back was ridiculous. A total of 24 hours of traveling. Chicago officially = worst airport ever.
2. Started the new job - training was a bit of a waste...days of training for what could have been 2 hours. The first 10-day session was quite fun. Working with High Schoolers was a bit strange. It really reminded me what high school was like - just how restricting of a time period it was. You just know so little in high school - no matter who you are. There is just no real experience to build upon, nothing to form your own opinions and your self.
Really loved working with the kids. They gave me so much energy. Naturally there were those that complained all the time - that is just normal - but when the students were having fun, it was worth all the time.
3. Next session. The second group just came in. They are a lot different. They are older and have a lot more freedom. I think these 6 weeks will go great - even with a few awkward moments and confusions.
