Walking in Memphis

Ok, so I am not in Memphis right now. but I am in DC, and I forgot how much I miss this city. Even with its ridiculous heat. Damn Global Warming, Damn you to hell. Nevermind you would like that.

First I wanted to do a quick shout out to Susannah for so kindly housing me these couple days. I even get a bed :)

I did finally get my travel documents from Canada. So now i don't have to declare war. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help.

I am keeping this a bit short, mainly because I have no clue what I want to write.
I promise a more involved post tomorrow.

So I have been trying to figure out a new method for titling my blog posts. I used to do individual lines of poems. But sadly I am not reading nearly as much poetry as I used to. And you may have noticed that I have just being doing random titles.

Well that sucks. So now I am going to do quotes from any medium. Most likely, just pop songs and obscure films. Such as this one from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Anyway, I am here having just finished Jack in the Crack which is naturally leading to a tummy ache, and Invader Zim is on. I am not certain why I started this post; I just figured it was time for a quick update. I promise more witty commentaries on contemporary life and such, but not right now.

Life has been going quite well. I am getting all readies for school and such. I know that I will miss being home, and some very important people in my life. But right now I just can't think about all that, and I know I won't until I am on that plane, pulling away from the gate. Right now, all I can think about is getting to school and getting some work done.

But I am not so certain that is going to happen. The Canadian Government is refusing my study permit because of a lack of funds in my accounts. Huh, I wonder why they would think that? I just never knew that the $1000 in my account would not be enough to pay for tuition and living expenses for a year? Oh wait, maybe I did. Maybe that is why I took out a $35000 loan and told them all about it. Yeah, that was it. But apparently that is not enough. Apparently I am supposed to be independently wealthy.

Well F U, Canada. On top of it, staff at the U of T keep yelling at me. I am so tired of dealing with Rats and Super Rats. Obviously, I read every single line of text on every single website of every single department at U of T. Naturally, I applied for my loans later then I was supposed to on purpose; it is what I always do. Just for fun.

Ok...back to Zim. Protect you Squiggly Spooch. And remember if you have head pigeon, go to the nurse before it spreads. More organs = more human. Does anyone know what episode I am watching?

Yes we can...

Ok, so as most of you know, I tend to stay out of politics. But a little fight with Dad the other night has got me thinking. And I will admit that I am not the most informed - I wish I were, and will be before I vote in November.

However, despite that I think I want to weigh in a bit on this.

So I said something about McCain's ads attacking Obama as being really childish, and he said, "So what? Are you going to vote for that Muslim?" Then he proceeded to tell me that Obama was sworn in to office on a Koran.

Granted you have the right to believe what you want. But please please be informed. Look at platforms, look at issues, educate your damn self. One of the people I respected most at school was a hardcore, kill-those-damn-Muslims conservative, but he knew his shit, and I even agreed with him a lot.

For instance, I kind of get tired of supposed "conservatives" who hate Obama because he is super liberal. He isn't damn it! In fact, he is fairly conservative. For me, actual, he is too conservative on a lot of issues - and too liberal on many that I am conservative on.

I just wish people would quit blindly following party lines and rhetoric. Fuckin' listen to them. It is this blindness that got ol' George elected twice. Ruined our fuckin' economy. Took us to war unprepared.


Anyway...I am done ranting. I am just tired of it. Heck I don't even want to vote for Obama...I just am because he is the worse of two conservatives. He might not round up all the gays, step on the disabled, and tell the world to screw off.

Another moment of disappointment

Ok so I recently just saw the new Jenny Craig commercial with Queen Latifah - See it here for yourself.

All I have to say is what happened to that beautiful woman from Hairspray. That big personality with the body to match. Now Queen Latifah just looks boring. I want her back. Drop that shit bitch.

A new beginning: "Boldly go where no man has gone before"

Well, today begins my first post in my newly revamped blog.

So what shall my first post be about?

Disappointment, false promises, and lies...that's what this is about.

So it is 2008, in two years it will be 2010, in seven 2015. So why in the hell do we not have hover crafts, shoes that tie themselves, food replicators, and Scotty? Why has the world of sci fi and dreams not come true? They promised it to us and have not delivered. Ridiculous.

So I have a plan. Let's complain. Let's all write our Congressmen, Local representatives, and world leaders. Let's send a petition to the UN. This is a damn public outrage. It is absolutely not acceptable that the future has not come true.

It is not that I do not like where the world is today. A world that is full of smog, pollution, and carcinogens. A world where war is still raging, and genocide never seems to disappear. More importantly, a fuckin' world where stupid Windows Vista is the newest technology. Seriously?

No, I want my car that compacts down to a suitcase. I want Neo to save the day. I want to go celebrate the end of the deathstar with Ewoks.

So bring on the Future. Let's all hop in my Delorian.
